This year, Lifetime Achievement Award Winner, Jonathan McMurtry, will portray the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge.
“His Last Fight” will be published in the anthology “2010 Best Ten Minute Plays” by Smith & Kraus.
NEWS: September-October 2009 I have been promoted to Literary Manager at Philadelphia Theatre Company and can’t wait to begin our 2009-2010 Season!
I will be scripting the 2009 Barrymore Awards in Philadelphia; the Awards ceremony will be held October 5 at the Walnut Street Theatre.
In November, I will be teaching playwriting at the Gershman Y (Philadelphia). Enrollment is currently open. For more information: Playwriting.

“Slip/Shot” is a finalist for the Stone New Play Award. “Slip/Shot” will also have a developmental reading at InterAct Theatre on June 7.
NEWS: March-April 2009 There will be a Staged Reading of the new full-length version of “the terrible girls” on Sunday, March 8 at 3p.m. in the Beechman Cabaret at the Arts Bank (601 South Broad Street, Philly) featuring Amanda Schoonover, Zura Young, and Kristy Chouiniere. Directed by Allison Heishman.

“Blood Oranges” is being produced in the Fall Short Play Festival at 13th Street Rep (50 W 13th St) in New York City, November 14-December 7 (Fridays and Saturdays at 7p.m., Sundays at 3:30p.m., no shows Thanksgiving weekend).

“the terrible girls” will have a staged reading at Azuka Theatre on October 14, 7p.m. at Plays and Players in Philadelphia as part of their Spotlight Series. This reading is being used as a developmental tool to help turn the one act, which had a successful run at the 2007 NY Fringe, into a full length piece. Free. No RSVP required.
I have been selected to participate in the 2008-09 InterAct Playwright’s Forum. I will be developing a new play at InterAct next season. Notice of readings and workshops will be posted on this site.

Ion Theatre Company is producing a Staged Reading of my new play, “The Oath”, on Monday, December 10 at 8p.m. at Diversionary Theatre (4545 Park Boulevard, San Diego, California 92116). Admission is free and open to the public. “The Oath” is is a provocative new Southern Gothic tragedy set in the midst of the Great Depression.
